     Ancient texts reveal that, at the beginning of the first century, the Jewish Sanhedrin accused a group of Essene leaders of orchestrating the birth of a "devil" child. They were expelled from the Jerusalem Temple and banished from mainstream Jewish society.  The child was Jesus. The stigma would remain for the rest of his life.

      For the first time ever in print, The Virgin and The Priest unravels the Infancy Narratives of the New Testament to reveal how they were compiled to protect the truth of Jesus' parentage from those deemed incapable of receiving it.

    Although the New Testament was censored to present a non-threatening, theologically safe version of Jesus, the Latin and Greek- educated censors were not versed in Essene esoteric thought. Absent clear and precise statements on Jesus' parentage, the Church was able to force its own interpretation onto the text. Cynical and manipulative doctrines were developed that hid the truth of Jesus' life, and disempowered the population.

      An ancient Essene formula was insinuated into the gospel narratives. This "messianic code" required "holy births" in the messianic lineage to result from questionable sexual relationships. The dynamics of illicit trysts of the Old Testament heroes in Jesus' ancestry - long a source of embarrassment to Christians - "purified" Mary, allowing Jesus to be born with a qualitatively superior genotype.

    This knowledge is alluded to in certain apocryphal gospels, in the literature of early Church Fathers, the Koran, and is widely depicted in Renaissance masterpieces. It can no longer be ignored for it opens a new door to understanding the complexities of the human condition.
